austria1_thumbDear 2009-2010 ACHA Sponsors and Competitors,

My name is Austria Arnold and this past year I had the honor of being the ACHA $500NR, $2,500 NR, $10,000NP, Youth, Jr. Youth Champion, and Rookie of the Year. Wow, what a year!

I am a seventh grader at The Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas. I live in Terrell, TX with my mom and my dad, Kent and Carroll Arnold. I have been showing and riding horses my entire life and I have been competing in cutting the last three years. This past year I rode many horses while competing including Doc O Lena Twist, my family’s 22-year-old-stallion. What a joy he is to ride!

I really appreciate everything the sponsors did throughout the different shows this year by providing awards that raised the bar of competition. I realize that a lot of effort was put in by show secretaries, arena help, and many others to make this a fun showing year. I know that many of the sponsors were not able to come to the End-of-Year Award Ceremony in which a large amount of thanks was brought forth by competitors throughout the night and I just wanted to make sure that you all know that you are appreciated.

austria_and_twist_feb2010I would especially like to thank McDonald’s and Sam Munroe for their support with the McDonald’s Shootout. The youth had a lot of fun with this competitive cutting contest. The McDonald’s saddles were beautiful and much appreciated. I also want to thank all the different people and companies who brought items in throughout the year for the different raffles. As a whole the ACHA youth is very thankful for your support in trying to fund and grow our youth programs.
The competitors are very grateful for the tremendous support you provide this organization, and we want you all to know the large role our sponsors play in all of our activities. We hope that you can continue to support the organization as it really does impact the avid cutters participating in the American Cutting Horse Association.

Sincerely,
Austria Arnold
